Our Treatments

Two patients with the same diagnosis may have very different underlying reasons for their condition. That’s why every treatment plan at Alliance Integrative Medicine is unique and personalized based on our findings from our Five Rings of Diagnosis. As we collaborate with you in developing a long-term wellness plan, we take a holistic approach to your health by focusing on five key treatment areas – we call these the Five Stars of Treatment.

Initially, we design your treatments to help you feel better as quickly as possible. Our ultimate goal, however, is to help you get well, be well, and stay well via a transformational health plan that fits your life and empowers you to live better and feel better.

ACE Healing Treatment

Combining Medical Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Energy Healing, the ACE Healing Treatment is our most popular and highly regarded wellness offering.

Medical Acupuncture

AIM is Cincinnati’s leading physician-led acupuncture practice. Alliance Integrative Medicine has the largest staff of doctor-led medical acupuncturists in Cincinnati, and all were trained by the renowned Helms Medical Institute through UCLA and Stanford University.

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT)

AAT offers a unique, non-invasive, and highly effective approach to treating the many symptoms associated with environmental and food allergies and sensitivities. AAT is a precision-based therapy that treats the organ systems involved in your body’s overreaction.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic care is an essential component of the integrative medical approach we take at Alliance Integrative Medicine. Chiropractic is a natural form of health care that uses gentle and careful adjustments of your body’s joints and spine to correct misalignments and restore proper nerve function, helping your body to heal naturally.

Chiropractic Rehabilitation

AIM’s Chiropractic Rehabilitation is a combination of skillful chiropractic therapy with customized exercises and individualized coaching. In this program you will receive one-on-one care directed by Caylin Holmes, DC, DACRB, who has earned the highest level of certification offered by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique usually performed by a chiropractor or licensed massage therapist. Through a light holding of the skull and sacrum and barely detectable movements, the technique is thought to affect the pressure and circulation of cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord as well as the attached bones, including the cranium (bones of the skull, face, and mouth) and down the spine to the tailbone.

Energy Healing

Energy healing is one of the oldest forms of healing in the world. At Alliance Integrative Medicine, we have combined several different types of energy work, including therapeutic touch, healing touch, and the Japanese art of Reiki. During an energy healing treatment, the therapist assesses the body’s energy field and attempts to correct any imbalances detected by placing his/her hands on the patient.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)

FSM is a system of treatment using micro amperage current and the resonance effects of frequencies on tissues and conditions to create beneficial changes in symptoms and health.

Functional Medicine

All the physicians at Alliance Integrative Medicine are experienced practitioners of functional medicine. Patient-centered, integrative, and science-based, functional medicine focuses on the origins, prevention, and treatment of complex chronic diseases.

Medical Massage Therapy

Alliance Integrative Medicine has been a pioneer in the effort to bring the healing benefits of medical massage into the practice of conventional medicine. While massage is commonly regarded as a spa-based luxury, more and more research supports the opinion held by Alliance Integrative Medicine for many years: Massage helps us heal.

Mindful Stress Reduction Groups

Alliance Integrative Medicine is pleased to offer a mindfulness-based stress reduction course (MBSR) facilitated by Richard Sears, PsyD, MBA, ABPP, a board-certified clinical psychologist. This course will teach you how to control your stress in just eight short weeks. MBSR programs have been shown to help reduce the symptoms of a variety of chronic illnesses. These include chronic pain, anxiety, sleep disturbances, fatigue, high blood pressure, and tension headache.

Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional counseling has long been an essential staple in our integrative, medical approach at Alliance Integrative Medicine. We use cutting-edge functional lab tests to assess your body composition, test for food sensitivities, and determine what nutrients you need.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is a form of regenerative therapy that uses injections around joints to strengthen ligaments and tendons after injury or overuse.

Rolfing

Rolfing is a holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education, organizing the whole body in gravity. Rolfing seeks to integrate alignment of the entire body, so movement is grounded in a responsive core, rather than anchored and restricted in an uneasy shell.

Your treatment at AIM has three stages:

Relief and Repair

Our goal during the relief and repair stage is for you to feel 40 to 50 percent better within your first five treatments. During this phase, treatments may be quite frequent – usually once a week or even more often in severe cases.

Restoration and Regeneration

As your body begins to heal and you start to regain normal levels of function and activity, your need for treatment will become less frequent – usually every two to three weeks.

Realignment and Revitalization

Now that your health has been renewed, you should need treatment less often. Most patients schedule appointments once a month to keep feeling their best.
