Lab Test Instructions
As a functional medicine practice, we oftentimes see patients that just feel “not quite right” – where there is no one dominant symptom that can point us in the right direction. Examples can range from chronic bloating, unexplained headaches or migraines, chronic fatigue, insomnia, to any number of vague symptoms.
Beyond exploring possible lifestyle factors to identify the root cause of chronic dis-ease or wellness challenges, we frequently use advanced functional medicine lab testing that provide valuable information about health at the cellular level
The test results help guide our treatment recommendations in major ways – allowing us to craft an approach unique to your situation, genetics, and biochemistry.

GI-MAP Test
The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function. This stool test allows us to take a closer look at the health of your gut, which has the capacity to affect all other aspects of your health!
Organic Acid Test
Organic acids are metabolic intermediates that are produced in pathways of central energy production, detoxification, neurotransmitter breakdown, or intestinal microbial activity. By testing organic acids in urine, we are able to detect potential nutrient deficiencies, enzyme deficits, and assess the presence of intestinal bacteria or yeast overgrowth.
DUTCH Hormone Test
The DUTCH test is the most advanced hormone test, offering an extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones and melatonin, along with their metabolites, to identify symptoms of hormonal imbalances. The test is easily collected in the comfort of your own home, and the results of the test provide in-depth hormonal insight that is not available by any other method.
US Biotek Food Sensitivity Testing
Doctor’s Data Neuro Adrenal
Alterations in urinary neurotransmitter levels assessed in urine provide important clinical information, and may be associated with many symptoms including cognitive and mood concerns, diminished drive, fatigue and sleep difficulties, cravings, addictions, and pain. Associations between urinary neurotransmitter levels and certain health conditions may provide valuable insight as part of a comprehensive health assessment.
