Frequency Specific Microcurrent

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a new system of treatment using micro amperage current and the resonance effects of frequencies on tissues and conditions to create beneficial changes to symptoms and health.

What is Microcurrent?

Micro amperage current is the same kind of current your body produces on its own within each cell. This is current in millionths of an amp. It is very small; there is not enough current to stimulate sensory nerves, so the current flow cannot be felt.

Effects of Microcurrent

FSM typically produces immediate dramatic changes in tissue that make it an indispensable tool in treating pain and many other health concerns.

FSM is different from most other stimulation units. It is sub-sensory (i.e., you cannot feel it) and has profound healing effects. Scientific studies have shown that it reduces inflammation by 62%, increases ATP (energy production) by 500%, and increases protein synthesis by 70%.

In 2010, we treated professional tennis player John Isner after he suffered a severely sprained ankle at the ATP Tennis Tournament. His MRI showed three torn ligaments and a large bone bruise, an injury which normally takes three to six months to heal. We used gentle manipulative treatments, acupuncture, and FSM. John then used FSM for a few hours every day. One week later his repeat MRI showed a normal ankle, and 12 days later he played in the US Open in New York!

How Is FSM Done?

The microcurrent can be applied via special gloves that the practitioner may wear, via damp towels placed over the affected area, or via acupuncture needles.

How many treatments do I need?

This depends how quickly you respond. Your practitioner will review this with you at the time of treatment.

What Conditions Does FSM Treat?

The wide variety of frequencies offered by FSM makes it a versatile tool able to help a variety of clinical conditions. FSM is especially good at treating nerve and muscle pain, inflammation, and scar tissue. It works well for lower back pain, upper back pain, and neck pain due to all causes, as well as sports injuries, bursitis, arthritis, tendinitis, and even fibromyalgia.

Some other clinical problems where FSM is helpful:

  • ENT: allergies, sinus problems
  • Respiratory: bronchitis, asthma, COPD
  • GI: colitis, irritable bowel syndrome
  • Gynecological: endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain
  • Urological: kidney stones
  • Neurological: shingles, post-herpetic neuralgia, neurogenic pain
  • What Should I Do Before and After a Treatment?

Make sure to drink at least two cups (16 ounces) of water before and after your treatment!
